    I opened the door with the key without using the remote and no alarm was set off.
    I haven’t noticed any light, I will pay more attention.

    Well the car DOES indeed have an alarm, but it was disarmed (valet mode according to the manual I found online), pressing the black button armed it. I put it again in “valet mode” because there is no need to an alarm in my building and I have less parasitic draw this way.

    That is a large capacity battery (10% more than the Group34/34R and 25% more than stock) -- no wonder you can do the 4 weeks of inoperation easily ;)

    I put a battery disconnect right on my battery terminal and basically have the cover plate for the battery open for easy access. When I installed it quite frankly I didnt know about the factory disconnect, so I still just use the disconnect at the battery everytime I am done with the car and I can go for months with no trickle charger etc. and it starts right up no issue at all. Dont know off hand what group size I bought.
