    Hi all,
the annual and first cavalcade of car-nuts from all over the world to Paris for the RETROMOBILE-show.

After meeting some very renown collectors, mechanics and historians like Tony Adriaensen, Simon Moore, Graham Gauld, ours Marc Sonnery, I "Discovered" this very nice cars among all the French stuff:

Ghibli (#214), wonderfully restored although the car was originally in gold.
Sebring I (#01.897), good to very good condition in very nice color combination.
Mistral-Spyder (#109.A1.733) in average condition (does anybody know more about this car?).
Mistral (#109.608) in great condition and fantastic color-combination of silver/light brown!

The Sebring and the Mistral-Spyder are part of the BONHAMS-sale today!

    Ciao!

Are the headrest on that Mistral original? They sure look ugly. The modern door mirror looks out of place. I do not think red is a good color for a Mistral spyder. Given the late serial number this is probably a very desirable 4.0 liter version with the dry injection system (unless someone put Webers). If everything else is good, this might be a good car to sort out and do a color change to perhaps dark blue.

Thanks for the nice photos, Walter.

Anyone know the high bid for the A6 1500 Zagato (lot 280) at the Bonhams sale ?

The estimate of 600-800K was far too optimistic! No, I do not know the high bid!

...and this makes me wonder! The build-year was -according to BONHAMS- 1970!
Agree with you totally, a Mistral (an any other Maserati GT car IMO) in red is not desirable.

    Ciao!

Seems to be coming up for auction or available through Osenat, along with a Kieft (!) and one helluva mahogany runabout:

    Of course!

Birdcage is #2454 and the 300S is #3058. Unfortunately the 300S was painted in a totally wrong color. I talked to the owner and he mentioned that after reading my book he wanted the color of his car matching the one shown in one of the pics (see below). What he did not know was, that this particular photo was a littler under-exposed by Pete Coltrin who orginally took that shot. ...)) But it clearly shows a bright corsa-red. Now his car is a little red-brown"ish".........

But now the colors of the Parravano stripes are correct.

Also the car got some original details (front-grill, dash, etc.) back after its major restoration last year following the severe crash of the car in 2008-Le Mans Classic edition.

    Ciao!
