Park brake shoe control lever, which way?

    On re-assembling the park brakes on my '97 355 spider, a bit of confusion as to the direction of the control lever assembly, #32/33 in the parts manual, as to the direction it needs to point.
    Mine was buggered up on purchase, and now all ready to assemble, but is there a proper direction for each side, as to which direction the "forked end" and the pinned levering end points, to front or back of car?
    I can't find a decent pic anywhere for the drivers side, as to which way it goes, or does it matter?

    Rebuilding my e brake was one of the first things I did when I got mine. I know I took lots of pictures of the procees as I always do but it's been several years. I'll try to dig them up and post some.

    Appreciate it if you could. Want to finish the install this week, new shoe bolts should be in tomorrow.
