    Hello,

I am going to be visiting San Francisco and hope to have lunch or dinner at Scoma's... stroll along the wharf, etc. Question: Where is the best/secure place to park my F430 spider? Last time I was in the city parking looked like bumper cars.

    Thanks for your help!

You can leave it at Fort Mason, which is an uncrowded open lot with big spaces. About a 10 minute walk along the waterfront to the zoo - err, wharf. 20 min walk to Pier 39. You can park all day for $10, and unless there is an event going on, there is usually plenty of space. No traffic in or out and easy access, unlike the Embarcadero.

Great idea above. Scoma's has valet parking and the guys (older) are very careful. I am sure they will let you self park the car next to the restaurant.

If you park on the street with no front plate, count on getting a ticket.

Always get front plate tickets while parked in my daily driver.
Easy fix, attach plates, go to police station in county where ticket was issued and get it "signed off"

$100~ ticket becomes $10 administrative fee.

They don't even bother to come outside to check the car anymore. Nice to see some cops "get it"

Interesting. I'm driving from Alberta. We don't have front plates... they don't even issue them!
