Hello All, Has anyone done the adjustment on the parking brake? is it difficult? the light is coming on but the brake is not engaging. Thanks, Francisco
There have been some descriptions of this procedure (same on 348 & 355) in the archives. Basically, there are two adjustments, one on the "drum" itself and one on the cable. You should adjust the shoes inside the drum first, then adjust the cable. But if your handbrake is not engaging at all at the top of the travel on the lever, then I would guess that the nuts on the cable have backed off, or the cable is broken. Look just ahead of the left rear wheel, where the single cable (from the lever) attaches to the double cable (to the wheels) and check the adjusting nuts (one to adjust, one to lock).
Nope not hard to adjust. If you have adjusted drum brakes then you can adjust the parking brake. A quick search of the archive yielded this thread on the subject http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=167643 Read that thread, and the links in it have some pics for you.
