HELP! Maybe someone here came tell shed some light on my problem (Pun not intended!)

My parking lights will not go out even with the stalk turned completely to the off position. When I turn it to the middle position I get the parking light indicator on the panel to go out, but the headlight indicator comes on, as it does when I turn it fully on and the headlights come on. Is there some other switch? I had Boardwalk Ferrari change the battery out a couple of weeks ago, could there be some connection? First time this has happened to me.

I turned the battery cutoff switch to off tonight to cut power to the lights so the battery would not run down, but this obviously is not a workable solution. Ideas?

    Thanks

    Jon

    Ooops..

Sometimes you REALLY want to remove an entire thread in embarassment...
I didn't even know the damn switch was there!
    Thanks -

Time to read the owner's manual. There's all kinds of fun things to discover

Add me to the bone head list.

All the 550 threads are great. The universal problem of fixing the wrong things until the problem is solved is easily avoided by just looking through the various threads for your particular situation.

Since getting my 550 a year ago, I have used the threads to replace a shock actuator, trace the poor running to the rotted rubber in the fuel tank and repair, figure out the module sensor for the catalytic converter was causing the run slow and check engine light to go nuts. In this case I was on a car rally and was lucky to get the car back to the motel, ck the threads, have Ricambi overnight the part and it worked!

Thanks to this thread, instead of pulling the floor board apart and switching relays, I just turned off the parking light switch that I hadn't even noticed.

Happens to 575M owners, too, only the switch is above the AC panel.
