Part Search For '98 355 Spider

I am searching for a seat potentiometer (spelling?) for my passenger seat. Ferrari informs me that they no longer sell this piece without selling the entire track assembly ($1200.00). In the interest of having cold drink money for August, I'm trying to find the part by itself, or a suitable substitute. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for any suggestions!

 

Daniel @ Ricambi strikes again! Was wise enough to buy up several pots while they were still available alone, which saves a large amount of cash. Thanks also to JM3 for directing me to an incredibly informative thread on the problem. If I hadn't 5 thumbs on each hand and the need for the passenger seat to work this weekend I could have saved more by using this data.

 

Based on the pricing that I know, approx $200.
