http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/10/21/topless.tab.ap/index.html Must have been one helluva party. Has anyone been to that place?
Anyone been to Scores? How can you spend $241 K in one night? I could see $10-15k but this is crazy.........
Who the fnck is gonna blow 10 large on a lap dance... not even Eva Longoria is worth that kinda loot Maybe the guy was drunk, but I say FRAUD.
I've thrown parties with 600-800 people. Food and bar tab covered from 7pm -2am, space rental of 50K, Louis XIII and Cristal at twice the list price, free valet, etc. Nobody ever got over $240k, but I don't think a place like Score's would open themselves up to such fraud. I just want to know what the hell those guys were doing for that kinda cash!
Helluva fraud don't you think? Those four guys could have had a fantastic time for less than 10% of that amount. And they would have to work to spend even that much. What are the current economics of the VIP Room at Scores? Cover 4 X $50 = $200 Stay 4 hours in a private area @ $100/hour 4 X $100 = $400 Pay 2 girls for each guy $400/hr to play 4 X 2 x 4 X $400 = $12,800 1 bottle champagne per person per hour @ $300 = 4 X 12 X $300 = $14,400 Food at $50 per guy 4 X $50 = $200 Tips for the bouncer, the guy who takes you back, the guy who brings the girls, the girls say, $10,000 (and this is WAY too much!) Coat check (?) 4 X $5 = $20 That adds up to "only" $38K, you've got 4 guys who should be flat on their asses after 4 bottles of champagne each and that's really letting the money fly! John
I'm not sure how they racked it up, never been inside, but we go to a club across the street every once in awhile and the line on a Friday night at Scores is literally the length of the block. They must be doing something right. But strippers keeping a $241k tab is questionable. I mean, if they were really that good at bookkeeping, would they be taking their clothes of for money...? Edit, they also just expanded with another location on the other side of the city, Howard Stern is there at this one in the article like every weekend.
So, that means this guy would have had to have been on the phone with Amex 24 times during that period. And I'm guessing they would have had records of those phone calls and probably still have the recordings of the interactions with him as well. While I'm sure it's hard to spend that kind of money on specific items as listed by Ashman, something tells me maybe the large amounts were in "tips" to the girls. This guys wife must be so proud of him.
The fact that Amex paid off Scores without yet receiving payment from this guy makes me think they have some proof it's not fraud. This guy is just pissed cause all he got was a massive hangover and a bad case of blue balls.
Woah, I hope they got some sort of souvenir from that night. Well, I guess the credit card bill is a nice souvenir in itself. I remember reading an article a year or so ago about a guy who "jokingly" gave a Hooters waitress (might've been another restaurant) a $10,000 tip. If I remember correctly he disputed it, but ultimately was forced to pay up even though he said he did it as a joke. Fools and their money...
