What we do know is the Pirelli Tyres that is in the Lucas shed presently has not been effected by any Tariffs.

    https://lucasclassictires.com/classic-vintage-tires/pirelli-cinturato/

we also know that there is a good chance that his next container (or maybe the one after that) may well be hit by a tariff of up to 25%, which would have to make the price to you guys 25% more.

I'm not trying to make a political statement, because regardless of which side of the fence you sit, it is better to pay 25% less for something. and currtently people buying Michelin XWX or TRX tyres off us are also not as yet being hit by tariffs.

$699 for carpet plus tax and shipping = $820++
So I get to paid duty $181 and am over $1000 for carpets made for 308 and not fit my 328.

    Please take care on ebay,
carpets4you2010 seems to buy these from tapis-deluxe for 308gtb at $499 and sell on eBAy for 328 at $699, the y do not fit and missing door carpets. the one ebay photo shows 15 pieces and you will receive only 11 parts

Now I ordered a 4 samples from Lakewell for a new set of 328 carpets. Within 8 days sampled arrive, confirmed correct heel pads OEM and I ordered light tan feintuft velour .

    Hi Sergio,
Thank you for the heads up, I'm going to see if I can cancel my order from at least 4 weeks ago (which I have not received nor have I heard from the seller). I can't understand how the seller in question has a 99.7 approval rating.
    Cheers,
    Lynn

    Sergio,

You should be able to file a complaint on Ebay because it does not fit the car described and does not match the description or photos. They will require the seller to make it right.

I've used these folks for two cars. Not perfect, but not sure that exists ?? Otherwise, very nice! Also, they offer many color options, and original "Daytona" stripes for extra &. My issue was after meticulous installation; there were some wrinkles. After some time, the wrinkles did pretty much go away.

BTW: They are a So CA company

The carpet from Lakewell is difficult to install. You need heat and steam to bend it.

Theoretically. In practice car parts less than $800 are getting the 25% applied.

My company sends hundreds of packages to the US every week and we now have several weeks of data to reference. I has been my experience that De Minimis is still in effect and that car parts of $800 or less enter the US Duty free. Duties seem to only be charged when the package contains items that are made in China as declared in their HS Customs declaration.

Where it gets sloppy is that if only one item out of a whole list of them is made in China then the whole shipment gets charged duties regardless of the origin of the other items. This happened to me last week when I sent a package to the US where all the goods were made in Canada with the exception of a freebie flashlight I added in the package as a nicety to the customer. The flashlight had a declared commercial value of $5 and appeared in the customs paperwork as made in China. The entire package got charged duties on the $600 of other items in the box. Technically this is incorrect but fighting it after the fact was not worth it so we learned our lesson and are ensuring our paperwork does not do this again. This whole tariff thing has been a huge mess and it is a daily learning cycle for us.
