Collected my California yesterday in the pouring rain, put it straight in the garage.
Still raining today so I have only been for a short blast. I have noticed that in the passenger footwell there are four small screw holes; in my 430 there was an ali plate where these holes are, is this missing from my California?

The plate is optional and I believe can be ordered from dealer.

    Congratulations first of all!

I don't understand what holes you are talking about though. Could you post a pic maybe?
Would also love to see pics of your car....

Thanks, but should the screw holes be visable? Surely there should be infills in them?

Annoying to look at screws. I agree. Install a foot rest plate. Looks much better! I think there is a California thread with some pictures.

There shouldn't be any screw holes... On mine I can see four Allen screws which have holes on top which would receive the Allen wrench. Do you not have any screws at all?

I have the aluminum foot rest plate and the 4 allen wrench screw holes are visible around the plate's perimeter

I have the foot rest too. You are right the hex or allen or torxx screws are still visible.
But the foot rest plate still looks better. And passengers always get a kick from the novelty.
I tell them that they can push on it to slow the car down if they think I am driving too fast.
