My '83 308 is traveling the farthest it's ever been from home: four hours from NJ to Manchester Vt. Not that I'm pessimistic or anything, but can fellow fchatters help create a list of mechanics/dealers along the route (I-87, I-787, rt 7) who might be able to service an Fcar should I have to have it flat-bedded along the way? Several other Fchatters will be along with me and hopefully none of us will be needing this info. But with a 21+ year-old car I need a warm & fuzzy.

    thanks very much in advance,
    ClydeM.

There is a repair shop in Manchester Vt. that specializes in european cars and they also offer 24 hour towing, they are called (oddly enough!) Manchester Engine Works and their number is 802-362-4550.
A bit of a warning, make sure you check the weather report before you head up here the weather this time of year can change very fast and things can get hairy on the roads.
