Agreed. It's a shame she's being forced into retirement due to Alzheimer's though. I wish her nothing but the best.
You think we will ever see a coach - men's or women's - last that long ever again? She's made it to the NCAA playoffs every season for 34 years, wow, I don't see that ever happening again on any level.
It's highly doubtful, to have a coach have that kind of success with one team is unheard of. In today's world, where coaches are being fired for both on and off the field performance I think it's going to be rare to find a coach that stays with one team for 34 years, let alone be successful year in and year out.
