Selling my Patek Philippe Amagnetic 3417 wrist watch. Serial # 728998, circa 1958-60, case #2610411, 12-400. 18 jewels, adjusted to heat, cold 150 chronish & 5 position. Approximately 11mm thick including crystal. Black Patek leather strap. Full service by Patek in Geneva in 2009, receipt included. Purchased Patek black leather strap in 2011, receipt included. No other documentation. I inherited this watch over 20 yrs ago.
I took it to a local jeweler for repair in the early '90's. In the process of cleaning the jeweler slightly disfigured the type, (see "mstanga Patek Philippe Amagnetic Guide" for more information. The dial can be restored to it's original condition for the purists. The watch would need to be shipped to Patek in Geneva for a quote. I've worn the watch less than a dozen times since the service. Price is $25,000 USD, includes ConUS shipping & insurance. I'm located in Santa Fe, NM.

A special piece at what seems to be a very fair price. Very difficult to pass up.

Thought I'd bump this up. After exchanging a few emails with Marco (Patek Amagnetic Buyers guide) we figured out the slightly fuzzy type & the missing Geneva were due from a S.F. local jeweler retouching the face in '93 when I took it for repair. He made a note on the inside cover.
I also contacted Patek service in N.Y. who said the face could be restored, but couldn't quote a price until it was inspected in Geneva. I also inquired about a new face availability. The N.Y. didn't believe they were available, but couldn't confirm.
    Still available for sale.
