One was a lawyer who owned the same type of car, saying as he drove a female reporter that it was like a wild animal, you had to fear and respect it. On another program on the radio, they said on 90.7 KPFK auto show that the clutch , ceramic, cost $8500 to replace and when some auto reporters drove it at Fontana they were warned not to slip the clutch as it goes away easily. I remember also a car magazine was given one to test and were so happy they got a crack at one only to tear it apart in their review because it kept stalling, and they weren't allowed to slip the clutch. Notably the car that Walker was killed in had been owned by 6 different owners and only had 2000 miles onit, so I imagine five different owners had been disgusted by the clutch. But I don't know how the clutch could have contributed to the accident.
I bought a Carrera GT and was delivered a few days ago. I've never raced but have driven 911's for 45 years. I had never driven a Carrera GT until mine was delivered. I have no idea why there is such a fuss about the clutch. I've been driving it for 2 days and have never stalled it or felt like I would. Awesome car with great sound. I bought the car from CNC it had 600 miles on it.
