    Leon.....you told me your were having the 430 shipped to Vegas so you don't put on many miles? :eek:

    You wanted to keep the miles down for the trade on the new 458...:D

    And on the 458 you ordered the engine/tranny delete pkg so you can just roll it around and thus save even more miles...:D

    OK, funnyman, :D No plans on getting the 458, have no problem driving the car to Vegas... :D May even bring the 430 tomorrow, now get to work ;)

    Be prepared for delays on road trips to Las Vegas

    I-15 will close briefly 2 days a week.

    Planning a road trip to Las Vegas in the next 10 weeks?

    Try to avoid morning travel on Tuesdays or Thursdays, as the north and southbound I-15 freeway will close for as long as two hours at a time.

    Beginning at 10 a.m., northbound lanes will close for about an hour and a half as Caltrans crews blast rocky slopes between Bailey and Nipton roads near Wheaton Springs, Calif.

    Motorists traveling to Vegas can wait in nearby Baker, Calif. If you're headed back into California, wait in the state line town of Primm.

    The rock blasting is part of a $91 million project in which a 12-mile stretch of freeway will be widened that Caltrans officials say will improve travel of big rig trucks.

    Rock blasting is expected to continue through October and the overall project should be completed by fall 2010.



    10:00 - 11:30 AM is about the time we would be driving North of Baker. Should we consider a later departure of around 11AM?

    I vote for a very EARLY departure that would put us past Baker by 10am! :) I think the solution is two departure times which would actually be beneficial in terms of the number of cars traveling together as well. One departure could leave at 7am from Ontario with the second departure leaving at 10am-11am.

    There will be an email going out to the group later today to determine new departure time(s) given the construction/highway closure. The itinerary will be finalized and distributed two months prior to our departure date - please keep the details of the itinerary to those participating on the run! :)

    Summer pricing. Our rate remains the same...for now. :) I get an email from a L.V. hotel everyday with $59 - $84 specials. I guess it's tough to get people there when it's a 112. :D

    Friend of mine was there this past weekend, says it was busiest he's seen it in many years, so the discounts look like they are working, but they probably don't want to give things away too far in advance...
