Ok, folks. Who is in for the PDA event at Pocono on the 21st and 22nd? I'm all signed up. Both days. Staying at Split Rock... Who else is coming? When are you guys leaving? Where are you staying?
In for the Friday and Saturday. 20 and 21st. Staying at home holiday inn about 9 miles away. Evo on friday, RS4 on saturday. Arriving thursday night, leaving saturday night. If you wanna grab dinner friday or saturday let me know. What group are you running?
What club has the track on Friday? Beats me. The PDA guys are not too communicative. ...and what Holiday Inn are you at? I don't see it on their site.
PDA is running 3 courses on friday. I think its going to be a great mix since you can be on 3 courses in one day. Not doing PDA that weekend. I'm going to be at Lime Rock with the FCA. Given a choice between LRP and the short courses at Pocono, I'll take LRP any time. Now, if they are doing the long course at Pocono, that's a different story. You can get some serious speed up on the back straight, after blowing down the front straight and through Nascar turn #1. But I'm already signed up for FCA, so it matters not which course they are running. Steve
I'm in for Sat & Sunday. Very excited to stretch the legs out a bit on the long course. Was planning on staying at the in-laws place about an hour away, but PDA just rolled back Saturday's start time an hour earlier. So I'll probably book at Split Rock assuming they have availability, Shivam's place is sold out as is the BEst Western across the street. There's a Ramada about 10 miles away, but rat infested dump seemed to be the consensus based on 10 reviews. Heading home now, will work out later. Let's definitely plan on meeting up Friday for dinner...
My plan is to leave NYC around 8p friday night from the Gotham Dream Cars warehouse. That should get me to Split Rock by 9:30p The email I got from PDA said track open at 6:45, tech at 7, driver's meeting at 8:15...
I am up for dinner friday or saturday. The holiday inn, for future reference is a great deal and very clean. Since I will be there thursday night, just let me know what you guys plan to do. Cell phone reception is spotty there but ill do my best. Look forward to seeing everyone. Last time we ate at this german place about 10 mins from the bertil roos school and it was pretty good. But I basically eat anything so am down for whatever.

I will open up the NYMC / PDA track day for a few FChat guys if they want, in the interests of keeping costs down for NYMC members. It will be Tuesday, September 4th, which is the day after labor day. Anyone interested?

We will be running the east course, and yes, it will be grouped by skill. costs right now are dependent on how many people i get to sign up. as of now we have 16-20 people, and 25 is the maximum that i want. The final sign up day for this event will be August 1st. If any Fchat people are interested, they can PM me. Just wanted to bump this thread. Cleaned out both cars, got racing suit ready, helmet, gloves and actually remembered my magnetic numbers this time. Friday is going to be more crowded than saturday and sunday, and i believe that they are running full course over the weekend. I just did a PDA event at Watkins, had enrique as an instructor. He was great, really gave me the confidence to push the car.
