I haven't heard anything good about Peake either. I have a couple of friends with BMWs and they complain about Peake's service department.
Great. Brian Harris keeps breaking things every time the car is there. I bought it at the end of May and they have had it more than I have. So much for "certified" Honda's certified program is light years ahead of BMW's
A buddy of mine had a 330 a few years ago and not ONCE did he ever get a loaner vehicle on scheduled maintenence. Not even after he bought a brand new M3 convertible did he ever get a loaner on scheduled maintenence. Maybe others have had better experiences, but if that is the case I haven't personally heard of many.
I bought my 5 new from Peake. Never had any problems. Got a loaner every time it went in for maint or warranty work. Haven't set foot in there since the car went out of warranty. I had heard, "unofficially" that if you own a 3 you're low man on the totem pole. A 5 will get you a loaner if one is available, and a 7 will get your car picked up at the house and a loaner 7 left in its place. Not sure how accurate that is though. Also keep in mind this was 3-4 yrs ago.
A loaner is always given to me at Brian Harris, I just have to schedule the visit noting a loaner is needed. My problem with them is that things keep getting broken while the car is in getting work done.
I've been doing business with Brian Harris BMW for over 10 years and havent had a problem with their service department. I usually talk to Wayne and get him to do a ride along if its something other than routine maintenance. I think he is the supervisor of the mechanics or head mechanic. Sorry youve had a bad experience.
I'm happy to say that Brian Harris took care of everything on the car and gave me a nice 335 to drive while they worked on mine.
