    HD DOCUMENTARY FILM OPPORTUNITY: Pebble Beach Motoring Classic

    IN PRODUCTION: A feature-length, broadcast-quality, high-definition (1080i HD and 35mm) historic documentary film about the 4th annual Pebble Beach Motoring Classic from August 4 – 17, 2008.

    Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the most celebrated automotive event in the world, draws record attendances and world class participation each year. This year’s Pebble Beach Motoring Classic is a nine day automotive tour that travels 1500 miles from Seattle to Pebble Beach, California and kicks off the official Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

    For the first time, the Pebble Beach Motoring Classic Tour will be filmed and chronicled in full high definition detail as it explores many of the northwest’s most beautiful locations and makes its way to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance show.

    Twenty-five of the world’s best cars have been invited to participate in this historic event including vintage 1907 to 1957 Ferraris, Bentleys, Cords, Packards, Bugattis, Alfa Romeos, Italas, Rolls Royces, Jaguars and Lancias.

    As Lancia was selected to be one of the official ‘marques’ of Pebble Beach, an original-condition 1957 Lancia Aurelia B24S Grand Turismo (GT) Convertible will be highlighted in this historic film.

    Directed by Greg Berkin, one of the pilot episode filmmakers for Antiques Roadshow and the Producer/Director of the 50th Anniversary Winter Antiques Show, Greg’s family Lancia Aurelia is also a subject of the film as an invited participant in the Pebble Beach Motoring Classic providing unprecedented access and special permission to capture this event.

    Combining original, rare, and never-before-seen 16mm vintage films from late 50s Europe documenting the original 1957 Lancia Aurelia, together with follow-along coverage of this legendary drive from Seattle to Pebble Beach, will create a story spanning 50 years of car history.

    The HD/35mm film will capture in vivid detail as the Pebble Beach Motoring Classic Tour visits many exotic locales including the Columbia River Gorge, Mt. Hood and Mt. Saint Helens, the Bridge of the Gods, Bandon Dunes, Gold Beach, Napa Valley, Crescent City, San Francisco and several of the most renowned private car collections in the world.

    Distribution of this high definition (HD) and 35mm film is to be on a worldwide basis on broadcast and cable television (ie. Bravo, A&E, Discovery, History Channel, Documentary Channel, Wealth Channel), satellite TV, video on demand (VOD), Internet and DVD (Blockbuster, Walmart, Netflix) and on mobile video via www.thinkdigital.tv Production budget for the feature doc film will ensure the highest quality and meet the standards for all television networks.
