Hitting the usual spots, but wondered if anyone knows of test drives etc they might share? And anyone wanna drive one day? I'll be there from Monday to Monday so have some time available. Cheers!
Hey great thread, my son and I stay overnight 8/16. We plan to go to Laguna Seca Saturday morning then Mecum after lunch. What are some cool things to do or see Friday afternoon evening? Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk
There is the little car show .https://www.thelittlecarshow.com/ Barnyard car show is nice...https://bsfw.ticketsauce.com/e/ferrari-event-at-the-barnyard-3/tickets https://www.seemonterey.com/event/concours-dlemons-monterey/9058/ https://www.seemonterey.com/event/exotics-on-broadway/9059/ Your time is short but check out this website: https://www.seemonterey.com/events/sporting/concours/
Get to the track very early.....great time to see lots of cars and their owners in the pits getting ready. Followed in a McLaren F1....what 15 years ago around 630 am. Chatted with the owner about the truck who wouldn't let him pass....great experience. Can't stress early enough.....
we r going golfing on the 15th, but will be cruising around looking for fun to be had. exotics on Broadway is a lot of fun on sat.
yes, early morning the guys are all working on their cars, etc. Very few people there other than them...good time to stroll the pits.
I will be avoiding Exotics on Broadway like the black plague. The ricer exotic crowd is probably the worst, because they should know better. But they want to make sure everyone knows what a Lamborghini sounds like.
some very nice cars at exotics on Broadway, how they conduct themselves can be a different story. that being said, people watching and variety is awesome....
I just stick with the Quail every year. Don’t have to worry about parking or crowds in general. I wish Ferrari had more of a presence there but there is plenty of representation in the parking lot. Most of the new debuts happen first at the Quail too.
Anybody have their wristbands for the concourse yet. Just woondering what color they are this year? thanks
Exotics on Broadway is fine. Horatio Pagani and Christian Koenigsegg both lead a group of their cars to the show last year. I was lucky enough to see them.
This. In 2021, my son and I got up very early and were one of the first ones to the track. Special Monza exhibit that year and we were literally the only "fans" with these special cars for quite some time. Image Unavailable, Please Login Walked the paddock as owners and mechanics were stirring. Even got a behind the ropes, private audience with a series 2 GTO and Shelby Daytona. Image Unavailable, Please Login Then we hiked up to the Corkscrew and had it all to ourselves (minus the track photographer to the right) for close to an hour. We watched those same Monzas do laps in what seemed to us, a private pass in review. An amazing morning we still talk about, and a memory with my then 13 year old son I will treasure forever.
I was with a buddy from out of town this year and he wanted to go. Getting thru traffic was a pain, finding a parking spot and then actual broadway had so many humans it was literally body to body for blocks. we went 2 blocks and he said “let’s get the heck out of here”. it’s just a total zoo.
