The weather is supposed to be ideal, 65 sunny daytime degrees, this is going to be a fantastic weekend. The highlight will come on Friday night for me at P4/5.

Certainly there are quite a few FChatters going, has anyone planned a meeting place?

I'll be there and can not wait. Unfortunatly I'm not sure I'll be able to make it to Concorso, but I'll be at the Ferrari 599 event 3-4pm Friday, Jims, and the Concours.

Check the Northern California chat thread. There is a lot of discussion about the weekend.

As for me, I live within earshot of Laguna Seca Raceway. Unfortunately, I have to be in Los Angeles this weekend for a convention. Bad for me but good for my parents. I am loaning them my 355 Spyder and got them tickets to The Quail.

The town is starting to rev up. I drove through Pebble Beach this weekend and saw some early preparations. Earlier tonight I drove by the airport and saw a hanger decorated for the Christies auction. Spotting exotics on a regular basis. I even saw the largest sailboat I have ever seen in Monterey - at least 3 decks above the waterline. Wow. What a weekend this will be.

So far the weather has been great but I have not checked the forecast. Always dress in layers and expect it to be cooler in Pebble / Carmel and warmer at Laguna Seca. The nights are always cool.

    Enjoy Monterey!

Definitely all meet at 11:00AM and the 1:00PM.

I'll be handing out invitations for my October 8 NorCal gathering that's open to all.

    Tifosiron,

Since I have the actual invitation as well as a confirmation by e-mail for my time on for Saturday, you are welcomed to my invitation. Maybe you can BS your way in with that? Bring your insurance card and FCar registration, and maybe they'll buy it. Tell them you forgot to make the confirmation.

I'll bring it on Friday. You are welcomed to it. Hope it can work.

Uh, well, yes? During the day.

They expect fog at night. I am bringing fog shoes, carry on size, in case the fog is still around when the Concours starts on Sunday.

Actually I was just going to bring short-sleeve shirts and what not, but now I am going to bring a light jacket. Are there actually fog shoes?

TheSuperModel and I will be around from early Thursday on.

wont make the Concourso this year though, too much else to do.

If you see a really tall fooker (6'7") and/or a really tall (6'3") lovely lady standing around, or holding on to the bar for dear life... stop by and say hi... thats us. :D

I'll prolly be the one carrying around the video camera. she'll be carrying a Gin and tonic.

will be at the P4/5 event, the Jag XKR kick off, the races, hanging out at the rear of the transporter area by the polo fields and out on the field in the EARLY am on Sunday.

little kids shoes with the flashers in the heels work great in the early morning fog.

65 degrees on the coast might feel even cooler with a breeze, so I would think dressing in layers is a good idea.

I have fog shoes sold by LL Bean. They have little amber lites on the front, and a flashing red lite on the rear, much like the ones on F1 cars. They come in colors. I have yellow, as it is more visable in the fog. I even put Agip decals on them.

But I hear the PB fog can be very bad in the morning so I was considering bringing my fog visors. They use infra red technology, I can see right through a woman's dress. The only problem with the visors is that using them can make you sterile. It says that right on the lens. But then, since I do not want another kid, they act as a type of birth control.

I'll Be there if theres enough ferrari's to do ..........I actually just spoke to someone whom is going down , and he suggested that I should go to a lot at fort ord and have you guys come there, call me on my cell and it would be alot easier than driving from one spot to the next ...plus logistically speaking, with all these cars everywhere , and I'm sure very limited parking, I need a 40Ft spot for my truck, trailer, and your car to be available. So the me at fort ord sounds the smartest !!! let me know !!!!!

    Thank You

I've been there every year for well over ten years in a row. I've never seen the weather that cold. Maybe a light jacket until 10:00am, then definately short sleeve weather. And very warm in the afternoon. The weather in Monterey is very stable and very nice.
