    Hey guys,

I had the chance to test drive a 308qv. It is a breathtaking machine but I can honestly say, that car is not for me. I really want to get a 348 later this year but now I am concerned. I do not like the way the pedals are offset to the right. I am only 5'8" and had to pull the seat up a little. Sitting in it was totally akward. I didn't really like the woosh back slant of the windshield.

How similar is the 348 when sitting in the drivers seat as the 308? I have had a few porsche 911s from the 80s and I was totally comfortable sitting in those pedal wise.

If it is the same deal with the 348, maybe a testa rossa would be better? It seems bigger. How are the pedals in the testa rossa?

I hope my Ferrari dream isn't over!

    thanks!
    Frank

It's a common configuration with mid-engined cars. The pedals are offset because there's a wheel in the way.

The 348 has a little more room for your feet than a 308 but if you have big feet or a wider than normal ass you might not like it.

Creature comfort in a Ferrari wasn't a priority back when those cars were built and is only somewhat better now. It's not what they're about.

The foot room was ok, it was just the position of the clutch pedal, it just seemed to far right. it was akward using it. Is the 348 in the same position as the 308?

    thanks,
    Frank

I have a 348tb and this weekend I helped a friend change the oil on his 308 (my old car). I drove it a little after the oil change and yes I noticed what you are talking about. I hadn't driven the 308 in a long time. Seemed like it was off more to the right somewhat. The 348 has much more of a traditional pedal placement if you can call it that.
