It makes sense that they would do this. They are very connected to the R-Gruppe guys so a big Porsche turnout would be expected.

FYI---they are a great source for Bosch parts if you cross reference and find the part you need is Bosch for your F-car. I go straight to them if I need cloth braided hose.

Well, this is interesting. Looks like a number of different locations have popped up for cars and coffee. So, instead of one location, there will be multiple to choose from. Which to go to on any given weekend?

The palos verdes location has been a very nice smaller venue where the PV seniors host a CC every 1st sat. of the month. There are almost no knuckleheads racing their motors or burning rubber. All grown children with hot cars should go elsewhere. A cool thing about a trip to PV if you have never been are great views driving the peninsula and a visit to the new FoTo (Ferrari of Torrance) only a few miles apart.

Agreed - this is a nice, local, smaller event, similar to the newer Malibu one. Since I live in SM, I now have two to go to, one north of me and one south of me, both with great drives along the way!

A cool thing about a trip to PV is a visit to Carl's garage!

This sounds like a rip off of the PV C&C on the first Saturday of the month. Same location too.

Yea, but they're calling it Coffee and Cars. Anywho, this will probably have a pretty good turn out. The bigger and more respected the host, the better the event. Free coffee doesn't hurt either :)

PS - no affiliation but any time I order parts from these guys I get them lickety-split and they have them in stock.

It's too bad the two events could not be held together. I heard that PV Seniors had difficulty hosting it in that parking lot and one of the only reasons they are able to do so is because the Starbucks gets so much business from it. The existing event is fantastic and hopefully this new one won't affect it but it probably will.

I don't have any affiliation with either.

Pelican is a great part source. They are my 1st BMW parts choice.
Both events end before the shops open except the bakery and the starbucks. They both get an extra pop of business the the others are not hurt by it at all. Only PV people visit PV. The other shops get exposure they would not get otherwise. It's a win win for everyone as long as the fools who crash their cars stay away. If you come to PV don't be this guy.

Will this event be one time deal this Saturday or regular monthly thing in the future?

It was not a bad turn out for a 1st event. Lots of Porsches so that means 911 variants. I have no clue if this is a one off or recurring event. Coolest cars there early 70's 911s dual use trackcar, 912, BMW 3.0csl. Ferrari was represented by a lone F12.

There was a 959 there that was nice to see. I singed up for their email list with a girl who said they are planning to make this a monthly event. Having it up at the top of the parking garage next to the Promenade theater was nice (more secluded).

Didn't go but rooftop parking seems a little bogus.(no view, location not easily accessible if you don't happen to live in PV) They apparently got hoofed out of the first spot when management got wind of it. Hopefully they can find a nice pristine location next time.

I disagree. Pelican's venue is less than 1 mile from the penn center. Heck Starbucks is even closer! View?? There is no view at the penn center either. Pellican's spot has bigger parking and once people figure it out it will grow. PV is PV. Nobody goes there except people who live there or have a specific reason to go there. The parking lots at the Trader Joe's and the lighthouse is too small. Maybe Trump's or Terranea if they wanted the exposure then you would have a view.

From the the OC it's an hour at least to get there. Hopefully there'll be a C&C at the new Porsche facility in Carson, then it will be worth the trip. :)

Agreed! That could be a car guy's meca! Just think if you could settle it between two guys mouthing off at the track too.

I liked the upper level. The view was the parking lot full of some nice cars. I was surprised to see all the Porsches though... next time I'll bring a more appropriate car for sure.

Good turnout....my favorite car was the one I came in. The blue '54 bent window cabriolet.
