Saw this today: http://www.myfoxdfw.com/dpp/news/Tornadoes_Possible_Today my car will be in the garage just in case. S
I'm getting hit with a small amount a hail now & the winds are really picking up. I think it's best to sign off until this mess blows through. Later.
And the weatherdudes just keep yammering. Channel 8 killed an entire hour of programming over this little rainstorm. All we got was slight hail and some rain. OMG RAIN RUN RUN HIDE
We cleared the bikes and put my daily driver in the garage. About an hour later, sirens went off while we were busy watching the Westminster Dog Show. After about 10 minutes, they stopped and went off in Allen - which we heard on the news station with the reporter standing in Allen and the sirens in the background. We did have a very heavy wind tear through here for about five or ten minutes and then a lot of lightning. But during the flashes, the clouds that I saw were light gray. Anyhow, the important thing is the cars are fine and I didn't miss seeing a Sussex Spaniel win the Best in Show at Westminster! I'll take a storm without damage anytime. ;-)
...we were hit with about fifteen minutes of golf-ball hail in north central san antonio last night, two most valued cars safe in their garages, but this morning i'll assess how the turbobeetle foul-weather cargo carrier fared, left out in the open to fend for itself...
Right at 9:30p , siren went off ( I did not know there was one so close, LOL ) , 2m later, heavy rain, hail, and highwinds. Blew the neighbors fence over a few houses away, tree limbs down, power off/on, but no damage to speak of. < shrug > S
At least your sirens went on before the storm hit. The storm was gone when I heard them- Not a cloud in the sky and the stars were shining. Oklahoma, a different story. Eight (or more) killed.
