    I will be making a short stopover in the Pensacola area on the way back home. For various reasons, I need a place with secure parking for the minivan. Any recommendations for a hotel in the area? Doesn't have to be fancy, just safe. I won't be there long.

    If I was there, you could stay at my place. Frankly, I wouldn't worry about any of the major chains along I-10. Crime in Pensacola is isolated to certain parts of town, mostly west of Downtown. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any hotels that will have covered parking. Pensacola is not that upscale. I had the same concern when I drove a 458 from North Carolina to St. Petersburg with a layover in Macon. I couldn't find any covered parking in Macon. I stayed at a Courtyard near the superslab and parked the car under a light pole. Lady at the front desk said they just had some lambos for a week without a problem.

    We stayed at a holiday inn or the like in pensacola once. We had our 458. No worries. You will be ok.
