for the most part positive. what creeps me out is when you're at a light and they wave, you smile and nod, then what do you do. stare out the windshield when you can feel them still looking. an awkward moment to be sure.

It's like driving a star car on the road. You are in a spotlight the whole time. Not all stare but most do. Some like it, some just hate that you steal their thunder on the road. Some want to cheer you on, some just want to embarass you by cutting you off or pass you fast. But, lucky most is positive. My own reaction toward others driving a Ferrari...?? It's still always a thrill for me...

When I drove the murcielago roadster through stockholms inner traffic at lunch hour, EVERYONE and everything was looking....I would as well. And as somebody said it´s a really awkward moment when they look and you nod and stare out the windshield praying for a green light.

I carry Mattel Hotwheels Ferraris and toss them to the kids when they wave. The hope is that they have a hot single mother. Damn, those traffic lights are just too short.

At least the kids are happy.

Most people ignore me, but alas I am driving the lowly 348. It is sad, but nobody cares about me. Me I said....

I relate to what some of you are saying. I get cut up a lot by other motorists and generally suffer a lack of respect on the road. A lot of the time people will thrash their cars out-accelerating me at traffic lights seemingly to prove themselves to me. 'Well done' I mouth.

I have had a few incidents similar to yours in Essex and around Hackney where I used to live but I tend to let these people go. Lots of these hot hatches would make mincemeat of my old girl so I avoid confrontational situations. There is a certain satisfaction in not rising to the bait.

most would just stare and point. And if they're walking across the front of the car at the pedestrian crossing, it's kinda funny when they don't take their eyes off you as they walk. It's like their heads are on a swivle. Occasionally if there are a few of them, the first guy who notices my car would just shake the friend nearest to him real hard and forces him to look at the car.

I've noticed a lot of people don't stare or even try to look at you because they don't want to give you the satisfaction, so insteed they will stare when their out of your sight! I 3rd the sitting at the traffic light waiting for a green light when someone is staring, VERY AWKWARD!

Same for me - blue 348 spider is almost invisible here - certainly the boob-showers here aren't flashing for some old Miami-Vice-lookin' car as they are more discriminating apparently...:)

I've gotten a bunch of thumbs-up and no extended digits, for which I'm grateful. Best reaction: A couple of days after I got the car these two teenaged (I guess) girls in some beater were waving and taking camera-phone pix. I felt like a movie star, and I loved every minute. :D

I usually don't notice, but when I have a passenger, they always tell me everyone is looking at me. I normally get a thumbs up or a quick picture taken of the car. If I know they're looking and smiling I acknowledge with a smile of thumbs up.

With my 328 it gets quite a bit of attention but you'll also see people pretending not to notice as well except in small towns where everyone notices, the BB is a different story though people can't help but look, it creates way too much hysteria and attention for my tastes so I drive it on empty desert roads preferably, the only negative with the BB is the attention factor vs the 328s attention level which is acceptable.
