Almost all of the gifts I have bought have been online and I paid by credit card. I still don't like to use my Debit Card online for some reason. I always pay off my credit card balance right away though. I refuse to pay finance charges to credit card companies.

100% Just like always. Hate watching all these news shows talking about how you shouldn't use cards. Well. Maybe some shouldn't but for people who use them smartly I see no problem and many advantages. I very rarely use cash and have my wife use it for everything including even McDonald's. I get about a 3 page bill every month and go over it with a fine tooth comb matching up every receipt , Then pay it in full. Also I get a check for 1% of total purchases back every month and Jan's bill will be a doozy between Xmas, Hanukkah which starts the day after Christmas (next year it ends the day before Christmas) plus my Daughters College Spring tuition will be on it

I use AMEX so I earn maximum points...but, I pay off the entire balance once I receive the bill. My wife and I are flying 1st class to the BVIs for a New Years holiday using AMEX points.
