Perdomo cigar event May 22 in Portland OR
For any Portland area cigar enthusiasts, we have been invited to attend a Perdomo event at Broadway Cigars. Saturday, May 22, 12 noon to 5pm.

I met with the owner earlier this week, and he will provide us a reserved parking area, as long as we have a headcount on the spaces needed.

Perhaps we could gather after the Saturday Cars & Coffee events, go for a brief drive, and then end up at the Broadway Cigars location just in time for some cigars, BBQ, and the Broadway Cigar girls.

Here is the link for registration:

Did I mention the cigars, BBQ, and Broadway Cigar girls?

Please reply here or by PM, and I'll take care of making the parking arrangements.

    Any more responses?
Trying to get a head count so we have enough reserved spaces for our cars.
Please reply by Thursday at 6pm.

OK. Perdomo is headquartered nearby. I've been in there a few times. Not the best cigar out there IMO but well marketed.

Thanks for the input, I have never tried them so this will be the opportunity. Any of their offerings that you like better than the others?
Honestly, I'm going for the Broadway Cigar Girls and the rest of the selection inside the humidor.

Looks like it will be a wet day, guess I'll have to take the Alfa Junior instead of a convertible...

Last decent one I had was a box pressed maduro wrapper but I don't remember which one. Honestly it's been so long since I smoked one I couldn't give a recommendation.

As anticipated, this was a pretty good event. The BBQ pork was ready when we arrived, brought to us by the Broadway Cigar girls while we smoked and watched the Indy 500 qualifying on the flat screens around the club.

Reserved parking outside was appreciated, even if a few members cancelled due to the chance of rain melting their cars. There were three red Italians in the lot: Jon with his 308, Sonny with his 355 spider, and me with the Alfa GT Junior. We'll have to do it again on a sunny day to get more of the local crowd out next time.

We upgraded Jon from his cigarillos to a Big Boy stick, and took off the training wheels. He even started a second cigar, but ended up clipping it at taking it home for later. Sonny is here enjoying his Cuban contraband. I gave the Perdromo maduro a try, then went on to a La Gloria Cubana. Didn't even think to bring any scotch, darn it!

There was a long ash contest that both Jon and I entered. Here is a judge sneaking up behind Jon trying to alter the outcome. Jon must be thinking about the Playboy magazine he was reading at the same time while his ash grew longer.

As for the Broadway girls, they were polite and great servers. They constantly balanced plates of food, water bottles, and their own cigars as they moved between the two large rooms. Neither of them would have drowned, as they had built-in life vests. We kept reminding Jon to look at their faces when talking.

A bit of irony: the back door to the patio. One sign controls entrance due to the presence of tobacco, while the other keeps smokers away from the door. Governmental wisdom at its finest!
