Hello, I found this ad on Ebay,http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=010&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=200222757978&rd=1, the seller says they are performance cams. Is it true, can they benefit a 308 with cis? I thought these cars are limited to higer lift cause of emmision. Thank you, Anthony
As the ad says: This duration is still pretty low, especially for a 2v, and should not be a problem. If you set them up with about the same or sl more overlap, the engine should be fine. Duration in a QV K-jet car is 222 @ 50 without problems from pulse disruption, so you should be fine. Former FChatter Kermit ran even more duration on Randy M.'s 2v Mondial. The lift, while a good improvement, is far from radical for a 2v and will be tolerated well. It is important to remember that the stock head ports may limit the effectiveness of a higher performance cam, but I think at these more modest increases they should work ok. If the price is right, this should be a nice measured improvement for a 2v injected car. There are numerous threads on cams for both 2v and 4v cars. Would suggest a title search with the word 'cam'. To get started here is a thread that while focusing on qv cars, there is some good info on 2v as well. Here is the link and a quote to get you started. For history of FChat buffs, there are some interesting names and things going on in this thread that I had forgotton about, like the 4 liter 2v engine Nick was doing. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2788&page=9
