Perhaps unintentional, a histogram nonetheless...

    I stumbled upon interesting information found on the home page of Ferrarichat. When scolling down the lists of Forums, my eye was drawn to the number of posts and threads in each of the various sections: In particular, by continent, by model-year, and by states (in the U.S.).

    If one were to plot these on a bar chart (easily done in Excel, for example), a histogram would be created.

    I suspect there is a correlation linking number of threads/posts and appreciation/depreciation. Those threads with the greatest number of posts include cars likely to appreciate the least or depreciate the most. The converse is also true.

    Profound?....No. Interesting?...Only because it represents an unintentional, hence, unbiased portrayal of the market.

    A histogram cannot be created from a bar chart; they are two entirely different statistical analyses.
