Please note that W00dEar has been permanently banned from FChat. This action is the result of his repeated violations of the rules of FChat, despite recent articulation of those rules by Rob Lay and a very clear theme of tighter enforcement. This decision has been taken in consensus, and Rob Lay is aware of the situation.

For those that have been following recent threads, you will note W00dEar seems to have a personal vendetta against me, for reasons that still remain a mystery to me. I have no beef with him other than to request of him – as I have done with all of you – to post respectfully, maturely and in good taste. As I’ve noted before, differences in opinion are welcome on FChat, as long as they are conveyed appropriately and within the boundaries of the stated rules. Instead W00dEar has repeatedly chosen to respond to me – as he has done with many others – with posts that were offensive, insulting and generally of very poor taste.

It is unfortunate for the situation to have come to this, especially given the positive contribution W00dEar has made to this community in the past. Unfortunately in reviewing the situation over the past months, we note his posts have done little but disrupt the overall peace and harmony of this community in general and the NYTS sub-forum in particular. Despite there being a “zero tolerance policy” on this sort of behavior as noted by Rob Lay, I have given him multiple warnings to tone down his actions. He has repeatedly chosen to ignore them, leaving me with no recourse but to permanently ban him.

I would note again that the decision to ban him was taken with consensus, and is not open to debate. Additionally, logging in with an alias is an easy spot for the mods, and will lead to immediate deletion of the account.

I wish him good luck in his future endeavors.

    Best.
