I have a 348 which, since around 2020, has had perpetually leaking triple seals.

The throw out bearing and all associated seals were replaced in 2020 after failure of the throw out bearing. Ferrari OEM and the viton seals have been used. Work has been done by both myself and the ferrari dealer. I think the seals have been done atleast 5x at this point.

I just got the car back after a belt service with new clutch from the dealer and behold there were drips again of gear oil under the pumpkin.

Any one ever have this issue? Any solutions? I am open to anything at this point.

    Thanks

Hills manufacturer a allegedly upgraded version ( amongst other upgraded F car parts ) .
Interested to hear what the resident experts have to say on this .

My 348 with annual s every yr for the past 10 yrs ( stamped up book to schedules inc belts as required) despite only covering 1200 miles in that time has the same issue .Started after I start to use it . Noticed it after the first 400miles .

was thinking ok shot tripple and or maybe slightly corroded shaft = rubs the seals etc As the cars effectively been stored for a decade .

So the Indy F car did it for me . Said zero corrosion, the shafts looked immaculate, the throw out was OEM and looked good , no signs of splitting ( there’s been a few reported cases on here in the past of this T O bearing failure) .

So he simply threw in some new seals ….he did say they were vitron like yours .I was expecting to order a Hills at near £500 .

Anyhow seems to have made little difference. It still drips a bit of brake fluid .

Talking 1200 miles so about 800 since the new seals .

I have double checked the fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir and additional the g box level ( little dip stick on the box )

The brake fluid has not really moved ( taken pics ) or if it has its in perceptible to me .

I going to live with it , monitor it and keep a L of brake fluid in the trunk.

    Next annual is November…..

Sorry to appear to hijack your post , but obviously “following “ .

I replaced my triple seals on my 355 with oem and they leaked, so I then used the Viton seals and they have been dry ever since.

If its brake fluid, its not the triple seals.

    This is gear oil leaking.....

Triple seals can only seal on a perfectly smooth and perfectly round bore.

At one point in my F355's life, if I released the clutch too fast, air would get sucked into the clutch slave, and I would have to re-bleed it.
I replaced mine with the Challenge part (circa 2009) been good ever since.

There are some viton seals. I have never needed them. Check with yelcab. I think he uses them. The triple seals hardly seal. They are more of a splash barrier than seal. Is the car ride height factory with your current wheel tire setup? When filling gearbox was it done at ride height with car on ground? On a lift sometimes nose tipped down and you over fill. Is the tarns mount big rubber thing on that crossover support good and not allowing gearbox to sag? When filling oil comes out fill hole and you are topped up. Let that oil drip out until it stops the plug it. You can also do like engine oil be 1/2 way up dipstick rather than the top line. Many overfill engine too and that oil ends up in the intake. You can also fill gearbox get it hot then open that plug let the hot expanded oil to drip out then cold oil level will be short of the fill hole bottom. In other words are you encouraging the oil leak?
