    Hello everyone,
I am having a difficult time with a blowing fuse on my 550 that kills the dash instruments as well as the power steering and the alternator. Fuse number 5 in the panel, 7.5amps.

Original information is in the following thread:
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/456-550-575-sponsored-bradan/532912-instrument-fuse-blowing-alternator-stoping.html

I have been over the 550 and 575 WSM, but the wiring diagrams are virtually unreadable in the 550 manual and the 575 electrical system is significantly different.

Does anyone out there in FChat land know what loads are present on this #5 fuse in the 550 Maranello? It is a needle in a haystack situation with the existing diagrams that I have access to.

    Any information would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Pete

Hmmm....without checking I can't be 100% sure but I have a feeling it is worth checking the lift sensor that is just to the right of the abs unit under the vehicle (undertray off) by disconnecting it. They short out internally(whilst driving) and instrents and others die...

    Rusty,
Call me stupid, but I have no idea what lift sensor you are talking about. Can you be more specific?
