Excellent choice. There is so much about that watch I like, especially the display in the back. In fact the dial is my least favorite part of the watch (dont take that the wrong way. I think the dial is handsome).

I promised myself I wasn't going to buy any more watches this year, and this watch could make me break that promise.

    Is it an ETA?

There isn't much info on this brand. From my research, Perrelet lived from 1729 to 1826 (making a spectacular watch at 95 that is in Patek(?) museum), from 1834 to 1994 I found nothing, and it seems that they reserrected the brand in 1995 I think. I believe it's a 2892 ETA that is heavily moddified into their own movement(with all the hand detailing to the rotor, etc.). They call it P-11 or P-201 something like that I can't remember off hand. Go to their website to learn a little more you can even download the directions for every watch they've made since 1995. www.perrelet.com

P.S. you know you're going to get one, so you might as well live life and pull the trigger sooner rather than later. :)

I have had a few Perrelet's watches over the years.

They are a very good watch, decent movements, unique features, very good build/case quality and keep very good time (+/- 10 seconds per day).

    They will last for generations.

They are not as collectible (resale wise) as some other of the lower mid end of the luxury watch market - but I would say they are much more rare, and chances are you will not find anyone wearing one, which is a huge plus being a little different.

The price on the website you gave is very good - the have some great prices.

Enjoy a very fine time piece.

They have piqued my interest for a while. The double rotors especially.

Good to hear richard_wallace. Thanks for your feedback. Yes, I scoured the internet and besides Ebay, they are the best priced by far. Plus if you subscribe they'll send you coupons, so I got 10% off the $1,405. Not bad for a watch that retails for $3,513.

    I should enjoy it immensely.

It will reside next to my Daniel JeanRichard that I got last week. Christmas early for me!
