    i've been getting these computer activated voice sale calls on both my personal and business lines.....while it's annoying, i've learned not to sweat it and simply hang up the phone.

    however, as of late it's getting more frequent what's strange is.....as i try to make another call (after i hang up the phone), the annoying message is still being played on my phone. is there a way to turn these things off?

    Have you registered the numbers with the Do Not Call Registry?

    I have registered all our phone numbers w/ DoNotCall site in 2005.

    But calls Tom's writing about, I still gets them, too. I don't know who's making a call (just lazy to listen to tapes playing & claim them for violating the list).

    However, the amount of sales calls I get now is only about 3-4 calls a day now, compared w/ over 20 calls a day. The list is definitely working.

    Tom, I don't know the solution, but I just don't pick up any calls w/out numbers or "unknow" on the phone ID now.

    Call your phone company and have them block incoming calls from those phone numbers... I've done so, and it works like a charm.



    That doesn't help if he's done business with the callers in the past.

    mine just about dropped off to none after registering. I did get a couple from one company but I turned them in on the DNC site and never heard from them again.

    more schedule than anything else. Hoping to make that north drive that was mentioned in the SA Breakfast thread. Be neat to get the Austin and SA groups to meet somewhere...
