As a few members here at FerrariChat that i ran into know that i have been working on getting into better shape and shed some excess weight.

I had a personal goal of being able to swim 300 lengths of the pool at the gym over a 7 day period, and lose 80 pounds by Monterey in Auguast. Well yesterday i met both of those goals 6 weeks ahead of schedule :)

Last week i swam 330 lengths and this morning i was right at the 80 pounds lighter mark.

By the end of the year i am hoping to be 100 + lighter and swimming over 400 lengths in a week.

Any one else hit there fitness milestones this year???

    Congrats!!!!

I started on the South Beach Diet a few months ago. I dropped 15 pounds, but with all the graduation parties and whatnot in June, I've been struggling to keep it off. (Most of it has come back!) That made me realize that one of the biggest problems I'm having is the fact that I'm soooo out of shape.

I started running last week. I've been pushing myself harder and harder every day. Right now, my immediate goal is to run 2-3 mi, 3 times a week by the end of this month. I'm still coming up with more goals... maybe a 5k race or two and ultimately a marathon. I'm taking it slowly though, and trying to become more healthy in the process. I've also been using an ab machine, and I'm going to start hitting the heavy bag soon.

Weight-wise, I'd like to hit 170-175. I'm 190 now. With a little bit of hard work, I think 165 is obtainable.
