This is precisely why I started this thread. I love the fact that guys are trying to figure out each others personalized messages on their plates. Besides actually driving our cars, can you think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon? Yeah OK, so there are at least a dozen things that come to mind, but you get the idea...

I think it's supposed to be the sound at idle? <--- There :)

It's a custom exhaust from a local shop here in NorCal

Very Cool Johnny. Just out of curiosity, is the cost of personalized plates in Europe very expensive? You don't have to offer up you first born male child for sacrifice or anything do you? In California, I paid a set-up fee of $90 or so and then there is an annual maintenance fee of about $50 to keep the plate(s).

One of my all time favorites was on a white Mercedes SL convertible being driven by
a knock-out blonde, whose NY plate read:

    ITWASHIS

Come on guys. You expect me to believe that the majority of Ferrari owners in this world don't go the extra step to get personalized plates for their cars? There have to be more out there...

Purchased my 1984 308GTS QV red/tan three days after Enzo passed away. Thought it would be fitting to display a tribute to him on my license plates. They now reside on my 1995 355 Spider yellow/black. Funny thing, when people ask what it means I tell them to simply sound it out. They will say 4 R E forever and then when I tell them they've got it right, they will say free forever. Well I am divorced but it means Ferrari Forever!

Are you still going to sell your 355?

As of today, it is still for sale.

August first I will most likely be taking it off the Market. Can't discuss details until it happens....

OK, so everyone on FC is going to do you a favor and poison the well (until August that is), so you can't sell the car. We're doing this for your own good and you'll thank us later. Look forward to seeing your new plate on the 355 for a LONG time to come.

OK Blamp, now that La Bella is (almost) gone, did you ever get the plates? Sad man, just sad...

WKD PHST would read as "Wicked Pissed" in the UK. Pissed, over here, chiefly means extremely intoxicated rather than annoyed, so if you drove around with that plate in the UK you'd probably get pulled over and breathalysed quite frequently. :D

    All the best,
    Andrew.

    LoL...nope.

    They haven't arrived yet.

I'll probably just transfer them to my Lexus. They are gorgeous plates. :)

I'm increasingly over vanity plates. I still have a couple left (which are being phased out) but as I was driving past a blue haired cougar+ with the plate 2sasy4u, I'm thinking, does it all come down to this? Simply a 4x6 piece of tin and whoever who had more time to waste in a dmv line?
