How about VXII
posted it in another thread : If you have both: for the 550/575 : Dr. Jekyll for the 599 : Mr. Hide (could also fit a 512 TR) Daniel
There is some truth with this, Daniel, in particular if all assistance systems are deactivated (never in the public traffic, I would suggest) .
With all due respect to our fellow brethren of the Cavallino, my wife and I think Guido's plate is simply The Best. It is: CU LATAH. We know something with the 550's engine size, or its V shape, or even the car's provenance, would be appropriate but for most onlookers (as well as the locally plentiful on-gazers) it might be a bit too obscure and we wanted something with a bit of mirth since that's our approach to life. Now, the inside joke (yes, admittedly, it's obscure) is it really doesn't mean 'see you later' as in our passing someone and their looking at our rapidly receding plate, it actually means the local constables keep such a close eye on us when we take the car out that we have to drive SO SLOW that when we say CU LATAH what we're really saying is "We'll see you when we catch up TO YOU since we functionally have the slowest car in town!" Maybe if we went with quieter pipes so as not to alert the local flatfeet. Humm...LOL, THAT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN! Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's pretty good. We CAN have them, but the rules are very strict. Two or three letters followed by a hyphen and one to three numerals. So things like VEE-12 and GT-456 are possible (but unfortunately taken already). There's been rumors they (TraFi, our DVLA) would (soon?) allow a combination of any chracters up to seven, like FERRARI, but no-one knows for sure. I have had a few (like JAG-66) and currently have JAG-50 and JAG-72, but only have regular plates on the other cars (should not be too hard to guess what those plates are for and I think I will wait a while too see what would be suitable once I register the 456 over here. MYV-12, ISV-12, ISA-12? (The German FAU-12 is already taken, on a BMW) VU-12? F-116 is perhaps ok for fchatters, but regular folks would be puzzled. Cheers, Pekka T. Fin.
V12 SUV '15 FF It really is versatile. Road trips with lots of gear. Track days. Off-roading (to escape traffic jams). Cheers
I kinda like mine. Most people have been very complimentary about my "tongue in cheek" plates, though some here on Fchat have not been so much. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not specifically V12 related, but this is what I ordered to go on the 456 (formerly Erik's car). Image Unavailable, Please Login Meaning, variously, "race" or "journey" - in my case, having promised myself the car for my 50th birthday (yesterday!), the latter is more what I was after. My M3 has plates that read "SCN3LL", btw. Cheers, Matt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have a good relationship with the local DMV. None of these are personal plates... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
