I went to my local Pertronix dealer, but they could not find a listing for Ferrari. I am just wondering if anyone knows the part number that is used to convert a carbed 308 to a pertronix system.

Also, if anyone has done this, just wondering how easy it is to do.

Your help would be greatly appreciated, as I cannot find the answer by doing a search.

Try your search on the "old ferrarichat.com site" option...you might have better luck.

Call a guy named Don King in Calif. 310 606-5695. He did mine about 3 years ago. I haven't touched it since. He puts 2 units in 1 dist. and only uses the second dist for dist. the spark. I just sent him 1 dizzy and he had it back in 2 weeks. $500.

This is how you do it! 45 degrees apart. You probably gain 10 hp just from the timing curves not fighting each other anymore.

I don't remember what I used, I think it was just a generic Ford V8.

I think it is the generic pertronix pickup. The only thing you need to make it the cam that slips on the distributor shaft. If you don't think you can make that part, I would FOR SURE send it to Don King to have him put both in the single distributor. The $300 you spend for his labor (pickups are about $100 each) will be well worth it.

You will have to make or buy a mounting plate for the two units in addition to getting the magnetic collar adapted correctly. I designed one and had eMachineshop.com make it. If you don't get the dimensions and angles exact, it will either not work very well or not at all.
