Well he's definitely shown that he knows how to make a winning team keep winning. I was overly impressed this year after seeing USC lose it's two heisman winners and yet still almost make it to the championship game if they hadn't had that screw up against Cal. I don't think he'll make the switch tho.

With Carroll welcoming in his "best recruiting class ever" next fall, I think it would be very foolish for him to leave that dynasty. If he stays there, without question he will be remembered as one of the greatest college football coaches of all time. I really doubt that he will make the switch, but who knows how much money he will be offered. Is his contract at USC up for renewal? Maybe he is using this Dolphins meeting for leverage..

    1) Be a Pro coach, make a lot of money short-term, if I don't win I get fired for sure, if multi-million dollar players don't feel like playing there is nothing I can do because they get paid whether in the game or on the bench.....

    -OR-

    2) Be a College coach, make a lot of money long-term, as long as we win big games once in awhile, mentor kids that, if they don't listen they sit on the bench, never play, never make their dreams of being in the NFL come true....

I know what I'd do.... ESPECIALLY if I was a coach in L.A.

What's he making at USC now, about $3m? I don't see his lifestyle changing much just because he could pull down $5-7m in the NFL. He's building a dynasty as USC and has a lot more control than he would have in the NFL. I can't see him leaving USC for Miami, but I don't know what his personal and professional goals are either.
