Peter Schutz was definitively an important messenger but it was really Helmuth Bott that was passionate and strategic about carrying on the development of the 911. Ferry Porsche brought Peter Schutz on board to replace Fuhrmann who was working against him and Bott to further develop the 911. Ferry needed a strong manager that supported his ideas. Freeman
