I posted this in another thread......

[Autobild] reports that according to their information, the 2nd sensor at the Ferrari was installed since Monaco. The problems in Singapore and Russia are because of the tyres. Ferrari can‘t bring them to work anymore!

also, this could be a possibility...

"The apparent fall-off in performance post-Monza is more to do with self-imposed restrictions to get the high-mileage engines through the remaining events"

    All due to reliability.

This is interesting, and thanks for posting. What is clear is that the Ferrari Engine superiority has diminished... question is why - and if the FIA are behind it, then Ferrari must be working on some kind of technology that will either get outlawed or will slowly be refined and everyone will get it.... or Mercedes have it and has not been detected by FIA yet... ? James Allison should know where & what Ferrari have / had on the drawing board...

regardless, this years Championship is pretty much over... Unless Mercedes & Hamilton are totally unlucky in every race and don't finish, and Vettle can win every one... both of which are highly doubtful.

It could be as simple as 1) dialing down the engine due to this 3 component allocation allotment thereby saving the engine for the remaining races; all for reliability OR 2) they turn the power back up and risk blowing the engine then heading back to the grid.

Either way, they just handed Mercedes the title or titles for 2018.

So, has Ferrari been cheating until mid-season, and then the FIA brought them back in line?

There's probably only 3 people who know the truth. But let's not forget oil burning at Merc, every team tries to stretch the rules.

Make it simple put sensors on all cars on the grid, wonder if the Merc form would dip if the FIA informed them from the next GP your electrical system is being monitored?
