Apparently there will be no "official" Ferrari hospitality this year at the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta on October 3rd & 4th. If any of you are planning to come and have any ideas on what we should do, go to http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=214066 and please chime in!

My father, brother, and I will be down there. Departing NC on Thursday evening, keep a lookout for a white E34 M5.

Looking forward to seeing some FChat members there. Dave, are you coming down this year?

Have a group of eight going from Lynchburg. Brother of one of the ladies going with us is chief mechanic for Bimmerworld racing, which has a race early Saturday morning. Very excited to get a close look! Also cannot wait to see the spectrum of cars this will be my first ALMS race. Taking the Audi, not the F-car...

I'll be there Saturday only in the Porscheplatz area. Heading to CMP Fri night to drop off the race car so Nadine can drive Saturday, go to Petit early Sat for the day, back to CMP, and drive on the track all day Sunday.

    :)

what a sad showing of F cars. I saw a black F355 spider and a beautiful older Ferrari on way to turn 6/7, and one Testarossa from a distance parked by spectator hill. What the hell? the weather was more than perfect.

I agree. I saw one 599, that's it. I don't get it, where are all the Ferrari fans out there? Finally, Maranello has a competitive, reliable, winning car and no F-car owner fan support?

Now, if you stopped by the Porsche corral.... :)

Sorry I didn't see this until after. Do you work with them? Seth and James are still driving, but Justin is not. They looked to be having a good run (3rd, 6th, 10th at one point) but both of the front runners had contact resulting in race ending damage. 6th place for the final driver (Nick Elysian, or something like that).

Well, I had to drive down in the Odessey, as the wives went shopping. Next year, we will bring the Audi. I wouldn't have been able to get the 355 in the driveway of the house we rented, and I just hate leaving it outside in the sun all day. Plenty of tifosi on hand though.

After the finish, I was plenty proud to be an Audi guy. Comparing Audi's performance looking at prep, strategy, pit work, and driver ability - and then thinking about the latest Ferrari showing in F1... It's like comparing an elite SWAT team to the keystone cops. Peugeot has the faster car, they just don't have the entire package. Good to see Risi pull it off, though I was not sure how hard the lizards were fighting, as they seemed to be happy locking up the championship.
