    Anyone see the end of the Petite Le Mans at Road Atlanta this weekend? Risi Competitzione had first and fourth places going into the final lap, but the splash of fuel that they put into the first place 430 was just an iota short and it ended up sitting static at the second to last turn.... They would have secured the manufacturers title for Ferrari, but the fuel mishap lost it for them. Shame, after 8 hours of kicking corvette, ford, and bmw butt.

    It was a sad way for 430s to end their racing career. They were more successful than any Ferrari road car since the 250 GTO. The 458 has big tires to fill.

    I can't wait to see the 458's debut. I am sure that it will keep the legacy rolling.

    So what will be the first race that it will appear in?

    I was out of town so recorded it. I am only about half way thru the race but now I have something to look forward to.

    Yep, I saw the whole thing. Ran out of fuel with only 2 turns left to get to the checkered flag. It was extremely painful to watch. The Corvette went whizzing by after about 15 to 20 seconds had gone by.

    yes it was a sad ending for the 430's but the 458 should do well next year. Plus ALMS is going to allow paddle shifters next season as well as Lamborghini is rumored to show up. On a funny note my brother in law a huge Ferrari fan and 430 owner made sure he stayed in front of me on the way home from the race. lol
