    Hello. I need to do a manchester to london drive and back again for a weekend.

    train tickets will now cost about 60 each for 4 of us, because we left it late like dicks lol.

    my question is, to more experienced motorists. i have a 1.2 punto which will be ragging it on the mways so thats bad for fuel, but thats the way it is. will it be cheaper between for of us to get there and back, and ho wmuch petrol will i need. a full tank is 35 quid. etc. if anyone could do any kind of maths to help me it would b great. i dont know the MPG average on my car, ive never really cared, i rag it about to be honest so it wouldnt be great.

    the train tickets will be 240 between us all. im assuming petrol will not be 240 lol. but anyway. any suggestions etc????/

    Manchester to London = 181 miles.

    A 1.2 Punto should do c. 40mpg on the motorway (from a quick look at some websites), but this is without factoring in that you will be four up.

    Assuming your tank is around 9 gallons, this will mean that a tank should do you 360 miles. Or, roughly Manchester to London and back.

    thats excellent mate. nice one. even if four heavy, it will easily be cheaper then the train so thats sorted. thanks again!

    haha, laughing at the chelsea fans isnt as fun as laughing at the city fans who were one-day rentboys. Going down for the o2 wireless festival.
