    Hi,
When I remove my petrol cap off my 89 Testarossa. it hisses and pushes my hand away with the cap. Quite a solid push actually.

As I have the engine out at the moment, I am keen to fix this if it is not normal. I was surprised that the one way valve pushes air into the tank. The valve has tank written on the end that goes to the tank. It seems to work?

PV908, you have nothing to fix. This is normal, the petrol tank should be under pressure after a run.

While normal, I suspect that having a positive pressure is the reason why some of us get a "whiff" of petrol after a run out.

I used to get this after a run until I found a slight crack in one of my returns to the tank. Job fixed and now no smell at all.
