The Sauber had more fastest laps then anyone followed by Ferrari. The Ferrari simply proved it is good in the raind het crap evrrywhere else, and those aren't my words but Alonso's who said this win changes nothing. Consistency and smart tire choices won that thing.

There's "crap" and there's "needing to find tenths"...

Pat Fry: "...Towards the end, Perez was very quick, partly because his Hards were working better in these conditions than Fernando’s mediums. ...it is one of our tasks for these coming days along with obviously trying to find the tenths in performance terms that we are still lacking.”

I must voice out this. Rosberg always seems to have a 'little more' luck on the track compared to Schumi. Pure shyt, I must say.

Can't agree with the slow races part......bad luck by schumi 2 weeks in a row, he could have won today without that spin and bad start. In the end I think we will see Schumi on a podium well before Nico this year, and honestly thought we would today.

No conspiracy here. I just think nerves got the better of Perez as he was clearly pushing hard to get up to el magico. And he certainly could have as he was a solid second ahead on pace at that time.

Given the rain delay I FFed thru notsomuch.

An exciting race, a Ferrari win and as you point out a controversy thrown in to the mix.
Who could ask for anything more?

Today was a great outcome for Fernando and Sergio. Those two are about the only ones I saw having a truly positive day, the rest was just a crap shoot all afternoon. Of course some had better drives than others, but I think the weather/tires were the biggest determining factors in most of the race.

Massa had a terrible day from the word go. It's hard to say anything positive. Ferrari shares some of the blame for badly timed stops, but the team did not play as big of a role in Massa's outcome than he did.

I was really hoping for MS and the Mercs to show something today, but they failed miserably. MS's race was more hampered by being hit at the start, but he didn't fit back either.

Overall, decent race. I was on the edge of my seat for a while when Perez was hunting down Alonso, but that was about all that really got me going.

Some mighty crazy tequila was pumpin though that Sauber, if not for that mistake on lap 50 Perez would've had Alonso.

Massa can kiss my ass...couldn't even defend his position and just kept falling in standings as car after car after car just kept passing him like a fart in the wind.

He defended pretty well when he tried to punt Button off the track. Other than that, he was a turnstile/revolving door...

Now the million dollar question is if Perez goes to Ferrari next year or not :D. I think he's ready. He'd certainly do a better job than Massa. And he might even take Alonso of he keeps progressing at that pace. And Massa also came from Sauber, right?

Alonso is famous for wanting no competition from within the team so Perez might not be welcomed.

Bear in mind that the Sauber is running the same engine as the Ferrari and has a superior chassis. That Perez gave Zo a race is not solely a matter of talent.

I beg to differ. Even with the DRS catching & passing are two very different things on such a slippery surface - Fred said (in his post race interview) he was being very careful to stay on the only dry line and any attack would have been very, very, risky - I think that's why Sauber told him to hold position - While a win would have been nice, 18 points is huge for them.

    Cheers,
    Ian
