I respect a persons right to choose whatever color they want, but that thing is hideous.

I can see you are going to be a great addition to the Ferrari threads!

Was this directed at me? Am I not allowed to express an opinion on a public forum? The car is prepared in a way that will evoke a response, as its meant to do. It just so happens that my response to it is not positive.

I have to say that I also think the color choices are interesting...... To each his own.

Had to look it up. Wasn't familiar with this limited addition. According to what I just read, it was supposed to be limited to Grigio Scuro or Rubino Micalizzato. If there had been a Rubino F1 612 for sale this last month, I'd have snagged it. Another color most would not choose, but unlike many 612 original buyers, I'm not looking for low key and I adore Rubino. Saw a 458 in Rubino this weekend that I will be dreaming about until he sells it, to me, in a few years :) As it turns out, he was the original owner of my first Ferrari, a TDF 360 spider. But I digress. I'm not sure how this one ended up in gold. Not a wrap.

I am with you. I couldn't drive a car in that color. Even one as nice as this car is.

The Sessantas were the prototypes for the OTO. Just about all the OTO goodies.

On a better screen it actually does look like a wrap to me. The gold accents on the dash and doors threw me off. Wrap or not?

I saw this car yesterday. It is definitely not a wrap. Phil is known for ordering his Ferraris in unique combinations.

It's not a wrap, I know Phil and I've seen his Sessanta in person. Phil gets very 'interesting' color combinations. This is nowhere as 'different' as his Scuderia, Challenge Stradale, or 16M, even his Enzo is very different. Phil has an amazing, large collection of Ferraris and he always gets the last US spec car of a particular model.

There have been lots of Rubino cars around. An early 599 out in the northwest was ordered in that color and later a 599 with a stick shift and only a couple of hundred miles of use sat at a dealer ( in Texas?) for ages. Ferrari of Atlanta had a SuperAmerica and later a 599 in the Rubino. Have not seen the 458 but in general Rubino looks sort of flat and dull until the sun comes out and then the color really pops! It is a very rich looking deep maroon with a gold cast to it. LFSC had a 430 coupe in the color to...

Watched the video a few times now and I actually like it, really like the warm interior. I know, I'm off norm. The one thing I find unfortunate though is the darker shade of the two tone seems to de-emphasize the scalloping of the side panels. Might appear very different in person.

    A good example of this:

"....in general Rubino looks sort of flat and dull until the sun comes out and then the color really pops! It is a very rich looking deep maroon with a gold cast to it....."

I definitely have a weak spot for the color. My daily driver is nearly the same, and I'm constantly resisting the urge to trade it in toward one of the many fine Maser QP examples out there in rubino over various tans. I'm so glad I chose the 612 this time over another mid-engine, took the family for their first spin yesterday. I have a feeling over the next couple of years I'll be watching for a rubino 612 to trade her on. It really is perfect for a family with small children.

So true. Yesterday I saw a guy driving his 2 small children to school in the front seat of his R8. The knucklehead should've gotten a 612 (or an FF).

I agree. I love my black 612, but would likely take either the rubino or silver stone, both of which are the best looking colors for the 612.

    Just my opinion.
