Just wondering if anybody on this forum has recently received a phone call from an independent specialist (RossoCorsa) claiming that you are on their database and that you are/have been an existing customer of theirs. The phone call continues to say that you are looking to buy a car from them or at least get you to visit the showroom and sooner or later get your vehicle serviced by them.

Yep i understand, i just hope that some of the comments about specialists on here are from actual experiences rather than from here say.......(and i dont mean the girlie pop group)!

Ive just had part of my Alfa resprayed by a local 'specialist'.......in the wrong colour!!!!!

And i thought theyd do a better job seeing as they werent the cheapest......doesnt always work out that way!

RossoCorsa called me telling me I was looking for A 355! Had all my details from when he worked at Verdi's. Asked me where I serviced the car, etc. Thanx, but no thanx, and it was a Saturday afternoon! Leave me alone!

Must be very out-of-date information considering he split from Verdis ages ago according to certain discussion on here.

If one was to want to be nasty, they have no right to contact you on the basis of getting your number from Verdis' database as they have contravened the data protection act.

On the other hand, you could just tell them to get lost.

I know of several other people who were contacted by a lady who works for RossoCorsa from a stolen data base of Ferrari owners. Why do people do such brainless things.? :-(

I have absolutely no affiliation with the above specialist but you need to be absolutely sure of the facts when you start stating that they were using alleged "stolen data".

I have absolutely no affiliation with anyone but I will tell everyone on this forum that they are bloody mad if they go within a mile of this firm. And I am absolutely sure of my facts.

Firstly, although im an non-owner myself i would be pissed off (to say the least) if i recieved a phonecall such as this.

Secondly, DJ would you care to elaborate on this 'experience' you have had? , as i think this would be in the best interests of all owners.

Tried to contact them 3 times and left voicemail, email and spoke to sales staff about buying their 550 WSR.
Obviously not interested in selling me the car as they didn't ever call me back.

In fact when I did speak to someone there, he told me he wouldn't send me photos because it was his day off. Despite reminders, I was ignored.

Again I have no affiliation with anyone, but can someone tell me whats up with Rosso Corsa? I've never had any contact with them and what I have heard has been very negative. Everyone seems to allude to there being much more than just the usual dealer grumbles. Don't we all as 'potential' customers need to know??

As yet I'm a non owner but in the process of doing my research and nurturing my Ferrari fund. I haven't spoken to this particular firm but have checked out their stock on the website. In many cases the cars seem a little high on mileage & stiff on price (Compared to other specialists like NC, Foskers, Verdi)

The cars they had at Donnington were shabby and they wanted top dollar for them.

Its interesting, because we should be able to say what we like on this forum, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Last time everyone started slagging off rossacorsa, it all got a bit messy, with the owner coming on this website to defend his corner. Makes sense for him to do that.

Anyway, there seem to be around 5-10 people that have posted there own bad experiences. No one on this forum has posted a positive experience that I have read...... there is PLENTY of positive (and a balance of negative) comments about Verdi / KHPC / Joe Macari / etc etc. So why not the balance of positive comments on Rossocorsa? Search me.......

My personal feeling is , a car is a car, regardless of the dealer, and as a buyer you need to do your research so you get a good price and a fair car. I think RC are expensive, so I wouldn't buy from them simply because they have priced themselve out considering what they offer. Other people have other reasons obviously..

There are rumours-and i stress rumours- of RC taking Karl's database of customers&copying his service prices. There is also a story of one of their 18 yr old apprentice's writing off a custy's car recently after "power testing " it on a roundabout. There are other stories too.

Their marketing campaigns do my head in. Every show I go to I end up with a windscreen full of Rosso Corsa leaflets I don't want
