I am looking for a picture of the 2001 Championship winning Challenge car (which we have for sale) but at the time when the car was driving in the 01 season.

If anybody can help out here that would be greatly appreciated.

Wasn't the Challenge series running that year at the USGP? In that case I'm sure a bunch of folks have pics of it. Me included.

What was the car's color and number?

Just checked my pics and realized that Ferrari Challenge apparently didn't run at Indy in 01. At least I got no pics of it.

Martin, if you'll supply the color and car # for the VIR round in 2001, I may have something.

What is the car number. What type of shot are you looking for (side, front, top, under power, standing still)
What ever it is, I will have it.

problem is I am not sure which color the car was. I believe it was pozzi blu. That was the car color from after the racing season and I would assume that this color was retained since the car never crashed during the race season (it had a shunt after, when it was already pozzi blu).

The pictures attached are from when we got the car in 2005 and added the wing and GT bumper.

He has many tens of thousands of Challenge car images and has been the chief photographer of the series for many years. I met him recently at a fall gathering in NC. I'm sure he can assist, and/or has what your looking for.

Actually almost looks like the car was red (although we cannot find any evidence on the car so if that is the case, it was an excellent repaint) and was carrying race number 34.

There are a few shots of a red 360 from 2001 with the # 34 in the set of photos.

The Challenge series ran at the USGP in 01. I have a lot of pictures from all the USGP events.

Plus, The Challenge series ran/runs in different parts of the world so the same cars you see in one part of the world are not the same in others.

    Thanks,
yeah I found pictures of Bruce online. Just funky. The car is a factory pozzi blu. They may have painted it red and then repainted it pozzi. we have the car in pieces and there is absolutely no way this car was ever red.

In those pictures is this silver/bordeaux striped FoHouston car that I just sold a few weeks ago :)

That sounds a little Suss to Me....

Why would they paint the car red after 6 months if it was delivered in Mid 2000 in Pozzi?

Are you sure you have the right car? Or was it in a Major Crash?

I think you have the wrong car.....

I bought the car directly from FoBH in 2004 and would hope they know what they are saying.
The car was in a crash but I can assure you the car was pozzi blu when it was built in Italy.

After having the car apart for painting on Monday we decided to paint it red.

I know what you mean. I felt the same way seeing the car in red. Strange. Have to try to get in touch with Lucio and get the real answer.

Luca also ran a car in Italy at the same time he ran one in the States. The car you have maybe his car from Italy.

d'oh...that may very well be it. I remember we called FNA to get the info who the dealer was that was the delivery dealer for two cars we had at that time. We traced it on one but for the other FNA told us the car was not imported through their network.

Always good to have an expert :)

    Thanks,
    Martin

    I tend to agree.
