It was a terrific drive, a great time, and I had a lot of fun! Thanks to ALL for organizing the event! Somehow I completed the Rally on less than a 1/4 tank of gas.....AND managed to keep up with the newer cars.....who says a lighter fuel load doesn't help with speed?

Do you know for how long that F50 is going to be there? It's been a while since I've seen a F50...

Great pics! Especially the ones of the Red 355 spider (ha!)

The best part of the run was the early part on rt9 in Natick. All our Fcars reving and passing each other for position between the lights was like being in a F1 race.

How hard (or not) was your dad on the throttle on Rt 95/295 when I passed you guys? I was WOT and shifting @ redline just to get along side of you guys! Hard to think my little old 355 as fast anymore.

Dad can drive the car pretty hard, but it does not take much for him to put it at WOT. The 355 is still quite fast. I think he was close to WOT, but he doesnt shift at redline, ever.

I was not able to make this Sunday, was in NYC, but was bummed to miss it. However, each Sunday morning at 9:30 is a gathering of Ferraris and other cool cars at the same Starbucks on Rt. 9 in Southborough, weather permitting. People come and chat for an hour or so. I heard there were over 20 cars at the rally - maybe some can come back on any given Sunday.

Dan360--it is a fantastic car. Congrats. I read somewhere in the chat that you are aiming towards a Grand Slam. I've seen one 7 years ago in England and ever since is one of my favorite Ferraris. Will you please give some more info about the "Maine event"
    Thank you in advance!

I was there, and the Ferraris were absolutely beautiful. My 928 was the ugliest car there, until my friend showed up late in his 928. I have never been the ugliest car anywhere, but the F cars are all so nice.
Awesome time and event, and thanks to FONE.

Hey Carl- do you know racerx from fchat? He has a rare 928 . WHat color and year is yours? There have been 928s at a few Fchat meets and drives. You might have seen pics

I know RacerX...I am rolling my eyes now. His car is an automatic, which makes it very common but it is a "gray market" euro. The euros back then had 310 hp vs the US cars that had 288hp. Not actually a big difference, but back from '80 to '85 the US cars were more subdued with only 240 hp while the euros had 300 ('80-'83) then 310 '85-'86. The '87+ had 316hp worldwide.
Mine is an '87 "S4" that has 5 speed, limited slip rear end, and sport seats. Those are the options one would want, plus I have wheels, stiff suspension and an uncorked exhaust. It's a great road car and looks good for a P car. And probably the best maintained/running 928 in new england.

...and I can attest to the 'uncorked' exhaust...it is VERY nice! BTW, it was good to meet you after the rally, Carl.
